Hello, internet! It’s been so long since I’ve seen you! Just finished doing four of the twelve passage responses I’ve been assigned over the summer. That brings my total up to ten, which means two left! Plus an essay, plus a reading/writing packet for Spanish. But still! Progress! And my reward for this is one hour online.
Anyway, since there are about two or three weeks before school starts, I’ve been on internet restrictions. One of the downsides to having a Mac is that there’s this nifty thing called parental controls, so my mom can turn my internet off or on whenever she pleases. It’s not the ideal arrangement for me.
Anyway, still no word on the webcam. My mom’s making me go to the Apple store to look at prices, etc, but I really just want to get one off eBay and start right away! I’m thinking I should perhaps start now and ask my mom if I can use her Macbook’s webcam. Ah well. Video bloggin’ might have to wait until September. Which sucks because this is vital time to be building a fan base…
Oh! I am falling in love with Trock (Time Lord Rock, a genre dedicated to the British television series Doctor Who). I discovered Wrock (Wizard Rock, dedicated to Harry Potter) last year, but I absolutely love Doctor Who and the fact that I actually know what most of the songs are talking about just makes me so happy. I bought Chameleon Circuit’s “Exterminate, Regenerate” (Charlie McDonnell’s magnum opus) and it’s been on repeat ever since. iTunes tells me I’ve listened to it 109 times already. That’s more than I’ve listened to Baba O’Riley or Penny Lane or Pinball Wizard or Einstein on the Beach or Holiday in Spain or Angels of the Silences. Incredible, because those are my favorite songs in the world.
Well, that’s all that’s really new with me. BYE!
